The original 1966 Dolby A noise reduction system. This really is a magic box. We don't want to say too much about what it can do when used in a way it wasn't intended to be used... but one thing it's known for is the Dolby trick where you pull out one of the cards and it compresses only the high end, adding a nice sheen especially to vocals.
