Philip Shaw Bova is an Ottawa based producer, engineer, and drummer who grew up in a studio, literally. From a very young age, Philip has been working in recording studios; first starting out as a session drummer, and then quickly developing a passion for the technical side of recording.

In the studio Philip has worked with Hilotrons, Belle Orchestre, Socalled, Wax Mannequin, Million Dollar Marxists, The John Henrys, The Golden Seals, David Krakauer, David Wiffen, The Gentlemen's Club, Clark, The Empiricals, For The Mathematics, My Dad vs. Yours, and many others.

He has a fanatical devotion to using old analog recording gear to achieve his sound. Philip currently works out of bova sound, his studio in Ottawa. He is also a part of Sage Electronics, manufacturing high quality hand made studio gear such as microphone preamps, DI's, and condenser microphones.
